— Control Board Replacement Guide
A failed control board is one of the most common repairs on a Midea or TCL mini split, and one of the easiest to get wrong if you order the wrong part number. This guide breaks down the main board types, how to identify which one you need, and where to find genuine replacements.
01The Three Main Board Types
Indoor display/control board — reads room sensor input, controls the fan and louvers, and drives the display panel.
Outdoor main/inverter board — drives the compressor and outdoor fan, and interprets the discharge, coil, and ambient sensors.
Power board sub-assembly — handles the incoming AC power supply and voltage regulation before it reaches the main board.

03Installation Notes
Always disconnect power and let capacitors discharge for a few minutes before removing a board. Photograph the wiring harness before unplugging anything — connectors are keyed, but a reference photo makes reassembly foolproof.
